The Sweet Potato Queen Weekend, March 15-17, 2002 Nuclia Waste and her good friend, Queen Gefiilte, traveled to the heart of the deep south...Jackson, Mississippi, to join world famous Sweet Potato Queens led by Boss Queen, Jill Conner Browne. Jill made the Sweet Potato Queens famous in her books "The Sweet Potato Queens Book of Love" and "God Save the Sweet Potato Queens." Hundreds came from all over the United States to dress up in tiaras and queenly fashions for a weekend of fun. The creativity was just amazing!
