RSVP Vacations Mardi Gras Cruise & Bourbon Street Awards, March 1-8, 2003

I was invited to be hostess for RSVP Vacations Mardi Gras cruise sailing from Ft. Lauderdale on March 1, 2003. Our ship, Holland America's Zuiderdam, sailed to Key West, New Orleans for Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday and Nassau in the Bahamas. While on board I hosted a day of Pool Games, assisted with Bingo and ran the talent portion of the Swimsuit Competition. In Key West, my "Wacky Shore Tour of Key West" was a big hit. While in New Orleans, I entered a costume I made in the nationally famous Bourbon Street Awards, the "Academy Awards of Costumes". I won first place for "Best Drag" and "Best Overall" for the whole contest! It was a dream come true for me!
